The project facilitates the learning of intercultural competence by coaching students on how to shoot short professional intercultural training video themselves.
Students learn key skills of intercultural management. They discuss real IC management incidents that have been reported by managers from various industries. They develop video scripts which aim at “translating” those managers’ experiences into training videos. Students learn key skills of intercultural management. They discuss real IC management incidents that have been reported by managers from various industries. They develop video scripts which aim at “translating” those managers’ experiences into training videos. The scripts cross-checked and improved in discussion with representatives from the cultures involved. Actors are students representing business people from their own cultures. A professional film agency does the shooting, incl. professional lighting and sound techniques, as well as cutting. The professional filmmakers further coach the student team to learn key technical issues of shooting and cutting videos. A student team documents learning and works on building expertise for future film projects.
