Aim:
Adaption of OpenSource CAS (CAS Maxima) to the needs of secondary school education.
Commercial and OpenSource computer algebra systems are trimmed to mathematical solution procedures and provided as software product for scientific, educational and commercial application areas. When using CAS in mathematics teaching, the use of free and freely available OpenSource CAS (such as Maxima) opens up the ability to customise the CAS application to the needs of mathematics education through the open program sources. This gives the mathematics education issue the highest priority in the project and not the commercial interests in the development of a software product.

Development;
Conceptual collaboration with a teacher in secondary education I & II with the subjects mathematics and computer science, who is a long-standing active member of the maxima developer community.
