Kurzfassung


The main objective of the SUSEN project is the creation of an innovative student-centred classroom game for lower secondary schools. One learning goal is the acquisition of entrepreneurial skills, seen as a key competence in the European strategic framework ET 2020. At the same time, the game raises awareness for sustainability issues, both in a general sense and in connection with economic activities. This strategy game is called “Power Player” and sees the students, aged between 13 and 15...The main objective of the SUSEN project is the creation of an innovative student-centred classroom game for lower secondary schools. One learning goal is the acquisition of entrepreneurial skills, seen as a key competence in the European strategic framework ET 2020. At the same time, the game raises awareness for sustainability issues, both in a general sense and in connection with economic activities. This strategy game is called “Power Player” and sees the students, aged between 13 and 15 years, assume the roles of companies from the textile-manufacturing sector. They then have to cover changing energy needs while keeping in mind issues of economy and sustainability.
In addition to the classroom game, the SUSEN project team will also create a teacher training workshop that will enable teachers to use the game effectively with their students. Both the teacher training and the game itself will be piloted during the project’s lifetime. The feedback from these pilots will help in creating the final versions of the teacher training and the game, both of which will be available online for free beyond the end of the project.
