Intraoperative computer assisted 3D-navigation can be used in open and laparoscopic liver surgery. To date only case reports and feasability series have been published. The clinical value of this technique has not been investigated. The aim of this first randomisedpilot study isto achievefirst results for a power analysis of the following prospective randomised controlled trial. The Projekt receives intramural funding of the University Medicine and the German Liver Foundation.
