Kurzfassung

In cooperation with the Institute of Pathology of Hannover Medical School, we are evaluating the microvascular architecture of explanted fibrotic lung tissue of interstitial lung diseases as pulmonary hypertension. We are analyzing morphometrically the different distribution of vascular alterations as well as the forms of angiogenesis (sprouting vs. intussusception) using scanning electron microscopy and synchrotron X-ray microtomography (Swiss Light Source).
