Investigations on the functional significance of PDE10A in the photoreceptor

Kurzfassung
The phosphodiester 10A (PDE10A) catabolises the intracellular messengers cAMP and cGMP and is a therapeutic target in the treatment of psychological illnesses. On the basis of our findings that the expression of PDE10A in the photoreceptor is regulated daily, the role of the enzyme in the retinal adaptation is being investigated in PDE10A-deficient mice.
