Kurzfassung


The intent of the project is the development of a preferably variable meter prover to perform different material tests on endodontic files. Therefore a collet chuck adjusting the files is added to a freely programmable stepping motor adjustable in all dimensions through a high-precision variable tabl. On the opposite side, the files are closely fixed by a clamping jaw and destroyed by the rotation of the motor. On the opposite side, the files are closely fixed by a clamping jaw and destroyed by the rotation of the motor. The file is part of a monitoring current circuit which fails when the file is broken. A special software registers the failing oft he monitoring current circuit via an experimental interface board connected via usb to a PC. The software can also control the setting of for example the motor-speed and traversing angle. The complete apparatus is constructed sufficiently variable to allow potential upgrades in any part of hardware and software easily.
