Investigating diverse model organisms it has been found that genotype and somatic mutations impact longevity to a certain degree. However, also life style factors such as stress play a role and this leads to the assumption that epigenetic factors might contribute to length of life span. We here wanted to understand how selected longevity genes are epigenetically regulated under stress conditions.
