Recently, B lymphocytes have attracted much attention in the cardiovascular research field. A network-driven integrative analyses of data from genome-wide association studies and whole blood gene expression profiles from Framingham Heart Study participants indicate that dysregulation of B lymphocytes may represent a key driver of coronary heart disease (CHD).
