The main objectives are to evaluate efficacy of emotion stabilizing and distress reducing psychotherapeutic group and preventive family interventions in traumatized toddler, adolescent and young adult refugees and to establish the approaches in different subprojekcts. Subproject A1: START Adolescents evaluates efficacy of the manualized Stress/ Traumasymptoms/ Arousal/ Regulation/ Treatment (START) Program to reduce psychological distress, trauma-related symptoms, improve psychosocial functioning and 6-months outcome in groups of adolescent refugees PTSD-symptoms in a randomized, waiting-list controlled, multi-center trial. A2: START Childcare evaluates efficacy of a manualized preventive intervention and its 3-months outcome in traumatized refugee toddlers and their families in a quasi-experimental parallel group trial. A3: START Young Adults evaluates feasibility of an adapted version of the START Program in mixed groups of young adult refugees with PTSD and DESNOS in a pilot trial. Intervention effects across all clinical projects are assessed with a multi-informant, multimodal, multi-level approach that includes self-, caregiver, blinded observers’ psychometric assessments (A1-3) and one week e-diaries with information about real life effects (B1).» weiterlesen» einklappen
