Interprofessional training wards have been successfully established at several German locations in recent years. Such a training ward for medical students in their practical year (PJ) and student nurses (GKP) is also currently being set up at the I. Medical Clinic and Polyclinic. The prospective doctors and student nurses will rotate to the training ward over a period of 4 weeks and will care for their own patients together under close mentoring by senior physicians and practice supervisors. The aim of this priority project is to jointly design and establish theoretical teaching content, important practical skills and soft skills in a standardized teaching concept in a real environment through interprofessional modular learning. In addition to the close cooperation between medical and nursing trainees in patient care, trainees from other areas (physiotherapy, dieticians, pharmacy) are also to be involved and jointly develop teaching and learning modules. In addition to learning from other professional groups, emphasis is to be placed on intra- and interprofessional feedback in order to create a constructive teaching and learning environment.
