Abstract


A fertilization experiment was initiated in a Norway spruce stand (forestry office Idar-Oberstein, Hunsrück, forestry district Leisel) in 1989 by the Forstliche Versuchsanstalt Rheinland-Pfalz. A spruce plot was fertilized with 6 t/ha dolomitic rock powder. The purpose of this was to study the effects of a magnesium-dominated fertilization on an acidified and magnesium-depleted soil.
