It is basic for processes of action, learning, development, adaptation, success, well-being, and even health recovery (for an overview, see Skinner, 1996). Internationally renowned as, e.g., Rotter’s locus of control (1966) and Bandura’s self-efficacy (1977), the construct or parts of it have been applied all over the world and with increasing attention. As a result, the usefulness of control theory as well as its relevance across cultures got substantiated (Luszczynska et al., 2010; Scholz et al., 2002). Yet, uncertain times in a globalized world (United Nations, 2023) call for more thorough analyses of the actuality, quality, efficiency, and transcultural applicability of personality questionnaires aiming at control (DIW Berlin, 2023; Kay et al., 2010; Specht et al., 2011; van Haaften et al., 2004).» weiterlesen» einklappen
