The overall aim of the MOV-E STAR project is to develop and evaluate, a self-regulation, gamified intervention to increase resilience, benefit mental well-being and reduce risk factors for mental health problems among adolescents, in close consultation with users and stakeholders. This intervention will be based on a cluster of resilience indicators, namely energy balance related behaviours (sleep, healthy diet, physical activity, sedentary behaviour) and coping, and hypothesized effective ingredients such as individual tailoring and a multi-behavioural focus. Resilience indicators and their determinants will be studied in a longitudinal study and used as a foundation for behaviour change in the intervention. A generic format of the intervention will be designed that may also be applied to other significant indicators in future developments (e.g. substance abuse, Internet addiction). The intervention will be dynamically tailored based on combined behaviours and mental health indicators measured by smart wearables, Ecological Momentary Assessment data and end-of-day diaries. A health narrative (‘telenovela’) will be used to increase engagement with the intervention. The intervention will be evaluated on its effectiveness in behaviour change, mental health promotion, economic and social benefits, including reduction of health inequality, and on its appreciation among users and stakeholders. Three coherent studies will be conducted in the span of three years.» weiterlesen» einklappen
