On the other hand, also modern societies need ethically qualified individuals for their own functioning and their social integration. This is even true for the economic subsystem of society. On the other hand, also modern societies need ethically qualified individuals for their own functioning and their social integration. This is even true for the economic subsystem of society. Therefore, the right to education, declared in the UNUniversal Declaration of Human Rights of 1948, also implies a right to ethical education.
