More than one million small roof-top PV systems with a capacity up to 30 kWp have been installed within the last years in Germany. Previous publications have shown, that most PV systems do not reach the technical possible yield due to mistakes during the planning phase, the construction phase and mainly during the operation phase [1-7]. We want to derive the yield loss by these residential PV systems in Germany by analyzing public monitoring data from 22,000 PV systems. In conclusion, we find, that the annual yield loss in average is 5 to 10 percent and there is a nationwide annual revenue loss of €450m to €500m. The reference yield is derived by a data cleansing algorithm [8]. The actual yield of 50 percent of all PV systems in Germany is 5 to 20 percent smaller compared to the reference yield. Thus, a severe quality issue of PV Systems can be identified. Our publication addresses operators and planers of PV systems as well to make them aware of occurring technical issues of their PV system.» weiterlesen» einklappen
