While future studies and the geography of knowledge have traditionally developed in isolation, recent geographic scholarship reveals a growing interest in futuring and future-oriented thinking. This volume brings together perspectives from various disciplines and fields to foster interdisciplinary dialogue, with particular attention to the interplay between knowledge, space, and futuring. The authors argue that conventional understandings of the future often fail to address the critical role of space and place in shaping visions of the future and enacting them in present-day locations.
