Inhaltszusammenfassung
The dependence of the neutron small angle scattering of aqueous detergent solutions on the detergent concentration has been investigated. It has been shown that preferably the bean-shaped bile acids form micelles, which are so small that they do not disturb the scattering profile of detergent solubilized membrane proteins, and can be fastly removed from solutions by dialysis or ultrafiltration. The investigated detergens were TDOC and WS35, an analogue of LAPAO.
