| Titel: | MEPROS - A new and innovative meteorological profiling system based on wavelet technology for radar and acoustic devices |
| Kurzfassung: | Highly accurate measurements of meteorological parameters are needed for predicting long term climate and short term weather situations. Apart from national climate and meteorolgical offices a precise knowledge of three-dimensional local windfields is particularly requested by hazard management services (e.g. spreading of airborne chemical hazards or radioactive substances) and airport control systems. For example according to the Airports Council International more than 230 airports in the EU Member States and nearly 1.000 regional airport in the European Community exist demanding a short term weather forecast. |
